Refugees from Ukraine, 2022
During the first wave of arrivals, our team helped and guided refugees at the railway station as they arrived in Romania.
Faith · Care · Involvement
Ambasadorii Cerului is a non-profit association based in Bucharest, Romania. We are present where practical help, a kind word or guidance can make a difference.
Since June 2020 the association has been led by its president, Ioan Caraian.

Who we support
Help and support for people in vulnerable situations.
Closeness and support for people who have lost their life partner.
Support for people and families going through hard times.
Presence on the ground, help and guidance in times of crisis.
Involvement in community life and in church-based activities.
Dialogue, listening, encouragement and guidance.

A word from the president
The wish to help the people around me has been with me from an early age. At 17 I began to get involved in an organised way through my church, and since 2020 I have continued this mission through the Ambasadorii Cerului Association.
Today we support more than 300 families every year. To us they are not names on a list: we know their situation and follow it closely, so that help reaches those who truly need it. We also work with more than 70 young people, offering them dialogue, guidance and encouragement.
We stood by refugees from Ukraine at the railway station as they arrived in Romania, and by families affected by the earthquakes in Türkiye. We are close to homeless people, to widows and widowers, and to families going through difficult medical situations.
Our next step is a social centre, built from the ground up together with everyone who wants to contribute. For me, helping means integrity and accountability: every contribution we receive is a sign of trust, and we treat it with the utmost seriousness.
Thank you to everyone who has stood with us so far. If you would like to join us, our door is open.

From our work

During the first wave of arrivals, our team helped and guided refugees at the railway station as they arrived in Romania.

After the earthquakes, Ioan Caraian and the team travelled to the affected areas with nappies, hygiene products and other aid, given directly to families.
Faces have been hidden to protect the people we helped.
We take part in building simple wooden shelters for families living in makeshift conditions, to give them protection in the cold months.
